Bourgas Region

The municipality of Bourgas is located in the South-Eastern part of the Republic of Bulgaria and is the second largest city at the Bulgarian Black Sea coast. Due to the low level of the coast in the area, three lagoon-lakes (the Atanassovo, Bourgas, and Mandren lakes) lie in the region surrounding the city and are a must see. In this region you can enjoy the many beautiful and clean beaches, which are surrounded with bars, brilliant restaurants and sea side Nightclubs. The city of Bourgas is also great for shopping and entertainment, and has a wonderful sea-garden that is adjacent to the beach. The region is served by Bourgas International Airport, which is about 10 km North-East of the city. And within a 30 km radius of the airport are the main tourist resorts of St. Vlas, Sunny Beach, Nessebar, Elenite and Golden Sands, which in the last 5 years have become favourite holiday resorts in Europe.
