The Dominican Republic is a wonderful Caribbean country that is located on the Island of Hispaniola. The country has some of the best 'all inclusive' resorts along the shores. People drinking cocktails, partying, sunbathing and swimming in the beautiful clear lagoons is the norm all along the shoreline. The country is also of great historical interest to visitors as this is where Christopher Columbus began the “new world” settlement form Europe.
