Dubrovnik Dubrovnik is certainly the most beautiful city on the Croatian coast. In the Middle Ages Dubrovik was an important rival of Venice. The walls of Dubrovnik represent all periods of Dubrovnik's history, beginning with its founding in the 7th century. However, the most stunning of all is the city's main street, Stradun. This long and beautiful street is packed with history and outstanding views such as the Prince's Palace, the church of St Vlaho, the Cathedral, three large monasteries, the Custom's Office and the City Hall. Today, Dubrovnik has turned into a very lively city, with many things to do, both at day and night times, for kids or adults. The near by coast offers all types of activities and the town has many great restaurants, bars and nightclubs to suit all tastes.
