Paphos

Paphos is located in the south west region of Cyprus. The city dates back hundreds of years and is rumoured to be the birthplace of Aphrodite, the Goddess of Love. The city has many ruins and artefacts that date back to early Christianity. The city has been developing dramatically over the last few years developing into a great tourist destination with luxury resorts being built along the seafront.

I went to Paphos in Cyprus last year with my g/f and it was nice. People were nice and food was great. The beach wasn't that great but was clean. Not that many activities, its a bit of a quite place compared to Ayia Nappa and would suit people looking for some relaxation. Don't get me wrong, Paphos is full of character and my g/f loved it just not to my taste 100% but still glad i went. There are a couple of clubs and loads of bars and prices are not too high which was good. Stayed in a lovely little hotel, small but well nice. I wouldn't go again as i have seen it but if you haven't you should!

We stayed just on the outskirts of Paphos in a 4 star hotel (St George). It was gorgeous, fantastic Gym, fantastic pool areas leading onto a beautiful beach. We were a short cheap taxi ride into Paphos - loads of shops, loads of pubs and good night life (including a really cheesy Starsky and Hutch Club which was great fun)! The weather was great and I would definately go again!
