Polis also known as 'the city of gold' is situated in the north of the island surrounded by a fantastic landscape of citrus grooves and vineyards. Its ancient history offers a great cultural heritage and the Local Archeological Museum shows various treasures from its glorious past. In its pristine beaches you have a full range of water sports but you also can enjoy the nearby Akamas National Park by hiking or in a jeep safari and discover the spectacular Baths of Aphrodite, a picturesque rock pool where the goddess took a bath before her marriage.

Polis, Cyprus Holiday Review - Polis is absolutely brilliant.

I love Polis, I enjoy acient history which Polis brings. I enjoyed a boat trip to Akamas Sea and also went on a jeep safari to Akamas Park, its just breath taking. There is so much to do and see and discover, I am planning another holiday to Polis next year with my friends. Its a real eye opener and a wonderful experience.

I would recommend Polis to anyone who is looking for a peaceful break away from their hectic life. Often when you go on holiday for a peaceful holiday you end up in a place that has got a very loud and vibrant atmosphere which does little for you since you wanted a tranquil holiday not a party fest. Polis is that haven that you are searching for; it is absolutely beautiful, quiet and stays that way day or night. You can take lovely scenic walks and enjoy the scenery or relax on the beach all day long and by the time your holiday is over you will be ready and recharged to take on your fast paced life again.
