Czech Republic Tourism in the Czech Republic really dates from the 1989 Velvet Revolution and has largely focused on Prague (near the middle of Bohemia), with its great museums, galleries, concerts and other attractions. Many day trips are possible from Prague, including the great western spa towns of Karlovy Vary and Mariánské Láznì, early settlements like Kutná Hora and castles like Karlštejn. However, the rest of the country has much to offer the independent traveller.

Czech Republic Holiday Review - Prague

I had a fantastic time staying in the Icon Hotel (4*), absolute luxury! Staying in the New Town suited us as everywhere we had decided we wanted to visit was in walking distance. Very cheap, very friendly and very strong beer. Everywhere you look there is something beautiful to see from the castle overlooking Prague, the Charles bridge where you can buy beautiful picture souvenirs, the Old Town square with its food and drink to the fantastic shopping areas. A definate must for everyone to visit, just remember to put on some comfortable shoes and enjoy!

Prague is a very beautiful city, there's a lot to see and a large variety of restaurants to cater for all? sadly there are just too many tourists. I would recommend going off season.

Czech Republic Holiday Review - Prague - tourist trap

A beautiful city and very worth a visit but has been caught by the tourist bug. Keep off the main streets and you will find the real Czech Republic and its people.
The centre should be visited but try to see through the HMV, M&S stores etc for the real Prague.
Try eating like a local 3 course dinner with drinks for £8 !
enjoy it before it becomes a total Blackpool or Brighton.
