Cattolica

Cattolica is built in a bay and is favoured by a great and hot climate perfect for a relaxing holiday. The acient origin of its port is known by the paleontological site on the bottom of the water. Fishing is one of the most common activities here. In the summer time, as part of a village folk festival with loads of music and fireworks, tradition is renewed with Fish Rustida (grilled fish) done by the fishermen and offered to visitors.
The famous Deep-sea-fishing Championship and also the Windsurf-day are two main sport events that prove the vitality of this resort that has made the sea the main attraction. There is also a variety of entertainment for children and families, as Cattolica is small and full of amusements, squares where a lot of shows take place every day through the year, from the big square of musical fountains to musical concerts, up to free dance lessons provided for those who are interested.
