Rethymnon

Rethymnon is the most traditional spot of Crete Island. Smaller than the nearby resort of Chania, Rethymnon boasts an impressive blend of old and modern architecture with Turkish and Venetian houses, being its landmarks the Venetian harbour and the fortress. Turkish mosques and ancient church can be also discovered during a pleasant stroll by its old streets.
