Tavira This scenic village on the southern coast of Portugal will be the ideal location for your next vacations. The interesting blend of architectonical styles with its ancient city walls, a number of interesting churches, a roman bridge, 18th century houses with outstanding facades and the reminds of a castle make an unequal frame for your holidays. The marvellous sandy beach on the Ilha de Tavira offers a wide choice of water entertainment. Tavira has a number of cafes, bars and restaurants where the best fresh fish and seafood is served but also international food for those with different preferences. At night you can have an unforgettable fun time at its pubs, bars and discos.

Tavira, Algarve, Portugal Holiday Review - Brilliant!
Submitted by: Beverley

You got to go to Tavira, I 100% recommend it to everyone. It’s worth every penny. Everything is great, the beach is lovely and sandy, and the weather is gorgeous, spot on. But if you got to hot then the crystal blue sea would cool you down and then a cocktail afterwards to finish you off. There are plenty of hotels to choose from, you don't have to book there and then, and when you get to Tavira the hotels are a lot cheaper than the tour operators. Take a gamble, you will not be disappointed.

Tavira, Algarve, Portugal Holiday Review - An OLDe fasion Resort

I had never heard of Tavira before my friend suggested it for our long weekend break. It was the last minute and there was no where else I could think to go so I agreed. It is a beautiful resort in the region of Algarve and was different from the resorts of modern times. It reminded me of Venice with the river and the boats but Dublin in its architecture. There are not main attractions or big things to do but it is very affordable to go and relax. There are 22 Churches there of all shapes and sizes and the people are pleasant. We stayed at a family owned in where the mother and father cooked for us and gave us advice on where to tour. Very nice for a quiet holiday.
