Sardinia The beaches of Sardinia are some of the cleanest and least crowded in the whole of Italy. Cagliari is the capital city, which is a good starting point to explore other parts of the island. The National Archaeological Museum of Cagliari has prehistoric tombs and many more different artefacts from the Punic and Roman periods. Costa Smeralda is a resort known as a place of luxury and comfort, not great for budget tourists, but interesting as a short stop. The inland city of Nuoro is a perfect place from which you can enjoy the Gennargentu Mountains and enjoy the village festivals. The Sardinian landscape is peppered with constructions from the ancient Nuragic civilisation. These stone structures are unique to Sardinia and are must-see sites. |

Porto Cervo, Sardinia, Italy Holiday Review - Italy is so beautiful...
Submitted by: Tamia

Porto Cervo is just out of this world, the beachs are lovely, the sea is crystal clear blue colour and the village is drop dead gorgeous. I have fallen in love with the place. The harbour was a good site see, the yachts are so beautiful, I was really jealous. The hotel was very comfortable and we had a pool view but you could also see the sea too so we had the best of both worlds.

San Pasquale, Sardinia, Italy Holiday Review - Party Time!
Submitted by: Fabian
Date of travel: 17-September-2006
I World recommend San Pasquale for a holiday any day as it is one of the best places to go for a vibrant nightlife in Italy. There is not really much in the way of attractions apart from the Bell Tower of San Pasquale and a few other old buildings. There are white sandy beaches where you can enjoy a nice day of sunbathing and maybe take a dip in the pristine waters. I loved the food in the resort, especially the sea food.

Olbia, Sardinia, Italy Holiday Review
Submitted by: Casey
Date of travel: 25-July-2006
Olbia is a wonderful resort, its was my 1st time to Italy and it's been my main holiday ever since. You can visit the historic centre of the town, the Church of St Paolo is well worth a visit too and the old beautiful houses and building gives it that edge. Towards the sea there is a selection of italian restaurants and fine wine huts to explore, and all with a view of the ocean as well... I didn't want to come home, I really enjoyed it there and wanted to stay.
