Kenya

Situated in East Africa, Kenya is an ideal holiday destination, with 500km of beach facing the stunning Indian Ocean. Kenya is a safari country, and is home to the most varied array of wildlife in Africa, the wildebeest migration and awe-inspiring mountain terrain, including the Great Rift Valley. There is plenty to see in Kenya, including the beautiful snow topped Mount Kenya, the city of Mombassa and the oldest living town in Kenya, Lamu.

Kenya Holiday Review - Wedded bliss

My husband and I went to Kenya for 2 weeks at the end of September to get married. We stayed at the Voyager Beach Resort in Mombassa which is only meant to be a 3* hotel. However, the place was fantastic, the staff were wonderful, food amazing and I would recommend it to anyone. We're saving at the moment as we're planning to go back there with the same group of 12 that we went out there with. The atmosphere there is very laid back so for those of you who want to get married there, don't expect to do things by the clock. Everything is "Pole-pole" which means "slowly, slowly". We were supposed to be married at 3.30 but it didn't happen until an hour later. However, it really didn't matter as time means nothing when you're in such an incredible place. Whilst there you should really visit magic Millie, as I called her She gave me the best back massage I've ever had in my life. The shows that the staff put on are also worth watching, especially if you have children with you. The only negative points I can think of were minor things: they spelt my name wrong on the tree plaque and we did have problems with the rooms but they were sorted out very quickly. if you love white sandy beaches and want a chilled out holiday in paradise, Kenya is a must.

Kenya Holiday Review - Our Life Dream

My husband and I have waiting our entire lives to go to Kenya and this past summer we finally went. I LOVE KENYA FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART. Kenya was great. The first thing that we did was an authentic African Safari. The animals not in a reserve but up close and the beautiful African tour guides speaking to each other in their native tongues and giving us information in our, was a dream come true. Our Safari lasted 6 nights and sevem day and we drove all over. We had game drives and beach stops. We traveled in African Land Cruisers and had a variety of guides. Our meals were amazing and we included in the price. We rested for a few days in our resort and had a wonderful time on the beach. The waters were cool and the sand was hot and the view, incredible. Out of the resort and hotel to African villages with another tour guide had us teary eyed. All of the children we met could speak English and we helped assist in their classes. We held the babies of villagers and we tasted African food cooked from home. We danced and sang and laughed and cried when we left. We took pictures and exchanged email addresses with the tour guide who had kept in touch since. Kenya was worth the wait and was of much more value than we spent. We will be back to Africa again, especially Kenya. Travel agencies have special honeymoon packages for Kenya that include flights, hotels, food, and resorts. They are great prices. We are getting one for my sister in law.

Kenya Holiday Review

My daugher and i have been to kenya four times over 7 years and we are looking to go again this December 08. We stayed in four different hotels (Banbouri, Palm Beach, Watamu and Travellers lodge) these were well furnished, very clean. and found every Hotel a pleasure to stay in. From arriving at Mombasa, right through the holiday we were well looked after and the people couldn't do enough for us, extremly friendly. The safari excurtion was so exciting seeing the animals in the wild and especially how they are approaching the poaching situation. The views are breath taking. IT'S A MUST IF YOU LOVE ANIMALS
