The island has a pleasant and healthy climate with about 300 days of sunshine a year. Temperatures range between 26 to 31 degrees centigrade, and on average 27 inches of rain fall per year which results in mostly arid landscapes. Margarita Island has numerous modern shopping facilities, entertainment centres, nightclubs, and an abundance of fine restaurants.
