Cabanas Close to Tavira, near the Spanish border, Cabanas is a recent addition to the brochures of the main tour operators. It's spotless and non crowded beach is ideal for those who seek for relaxation and families with children. Many restaurants and a few clubs complete the holiday experience, but if you're looking for a lively night you just need to visit the nearby Tavira, just five minutes away from Cabanas.

Cabanas is a small fishing village that is developing fast as a resort with lots of bars and restaurants popping up. Although there is not much to do I the village, people who enjoy unwinding with a book or just want to have chat with the locals can do so at the numerous cafes along the waters of Cabanas. To get to the beach you need to take a small boat ride across the lagoon which I wound a bit inconvenient but it was a nice beach. Being a fishing village you can almost expect the sea food to be excellent and it was.
