Qatar The country is surrounded by the waters of the Persian Gulf from the north and east and by the Bahrain Gulf on the west. Qatar is attached to Saudi Arabia from the south. Being surrounded by water on three sides it is pretty obvious that the main activities for visitors revolve around water sports. Kite surfing and jet-skiing are very popular amongst tourists. The beaches are clean and the waters are clear, perfect for relaxing in the early evening. The shopping in Qatar is an experience that should not be missed as well as the fantastic restaurants that serve authentic middle-eastern food.

Qatar Holiday Review - Surprisingly good

The country is absolutely beautiful with great warm weather, a shed load of activities to do and a lot more attractions to see. Although we would have loved to see the whole country we only had time for one city and that city was Doha, the capital of Qatar. Apparently most of the people in Qatar live in Doha and I can see why because the city is exceptional in all areas from the transportation services to the road infrastructure everything is so organised. The city landscape at night looks marvellous with all the big buildings lit up. There are some great clubs for a fun night out in the city as long as everyone is over 21. There are plenty of museums and mosques to see in the city all with their own story to tell.
