Lloret de Mar Situated in the southern part of the Costa Brava, this former fisherman's village has five main beaches which have been awarded the blue flag by the EEC for the the perfect state of its beaches. But this is only one of the reasons that it is regarded as one of the best tourist centres. There are cultural, architectural and natural attractions, the two Iberian period historic villages, sports facilities, shopping, leisure and cuisine. The perfect place to meet even the most diverse requirements in a holiday. Cadaques, a popular attraction, draws plenty of visitors, with its scenic natural harbour, galleries, art and craft shops, and it is also the place to visit the former home of Salvador Dali, now a museum in Portlligat Bay just to the north of the town.

Lloret de Mar, Costa Brava, Spain Holiday Review - Lloret de Mar is a nice place.

I stayed in a caravan with 2 other friends, we weren't bothered about an apartment or a posh hotel as we was out most of the day anyway. We would venture back to the caravan park about 6pm for dinner and to get ready for the night and that was it, oh and to sleep of course! There was a pool area in the park with a bar; it was a huge caravan park, not a gypsy type though. There was also a small shop where you could buy the basic food and drinks and there was also a reception area as well. Out side of the caravan park you would come to more shops, and some restaurants selling, meat etc. The beach from the park was 10 minute walk and you also had to cross a small road, it wasn't busy. There were no sun beds or brollies and the sand was on fire, you had to sprint for the sea to cool down. There were a few food huts that sold chips, burgers etc and cold drinks and the usual toilets etc. You had to walk further down the resort to find all the main restaurants, shops, bars etc and it was very entertaining in the evening too, the whole streets were packed with tourists, locals etc. You could hardly move. It was a good holiday, not a luxury resort but it had everything you needed.

Lloret de Mar is a very lively resort and has plenty of british tourists, british bars, clubs, beach parties, foam parties and boat trips. I was in my element. Me & my mates hit the beach about 8am and there was already a que for the boat. I also took a trip to the water park and enjoyed the cool water slides and rock climbing pools. It was a fun packed holiday and I was constantly on the go from morning, noon and night. You will never get bored in Lloret de Mar as it's one of the most liveliest spots across the Costa Brava with loads to do. I've already booked another holiday there with my girlfriend and some friends for next summer. Its going to be another top holiday.
