Costa de Almeria

Costa de Almeria is along the southern coast of Spain and compared to other Spanish regions, the area is relatively undiscovered by mass tourism. West Almeria is the developed tourist area with popular resorts, such as, Roquetas de Mar and Aguauluce. The north is a great spot for nature lovers, there's lots to explore with its many untouched fishing villages, expansive beaches and small intimate coves, many of which can only be reached by foot. The ancient Almeria City is worth a visit with the Alcazaba castle overlooking the metropolis. Other attractions include the Cabo de Gatat Nature Reserve, the Cathedral of Almeria and the nearby village of Tabernas.
