Calas de Mallorca Halfway between Sa Coma and Cala D'or is Calas de Mallorca, about 70 km away from Palma Town. It is a relaxed and quiet resort, with lovely views and good beaches ideal for children and families. Its water is perfect to playing in the sea due to it is clear and clean water. Near to the beach, there are many bars, pubs, restaurants, supermarkets, some club, and souvenir shops. If you want to discover the whole area, you should rent a car for a day (but remember, in Spain, you have to drive by the right side!!) and explore the coastline and visit some of the nearby attractions; Majorca Pearl factory in Manacor or the Caves of Drach and the Majorca Acuarium in Porto Cristo.

Calas de Mallorca, Majorca, Spain Holiday Review - Not what we saw in photos

Calas de Mallorca was very disappointing. My husband and I expected a new big attractive looking resort of major interest as they described on their website. Instead, when we got there all we found was a few scattered of hotels and apartments over a big area. It looked plain and empty and was difficult to get around thanks to its primitive road system. There are little amenities for tourists and by any definition of the word, should not be able to be called a tourist destination. There were Domingos and Cala Murada which are two pretty beaches that brightened up our holiday. There was also the Jumaica Tropical Park just to the south is also made our trip bearable because of its beauty and interesting history. In 1973 a Mallorcan family bought it as arid land and discovered that it contained a priceless water supply which they later were able to us to change it into a tropical garden. If I were you I would wait until they are complete in updating everything in the resort and it is more tourist friendly.
