Ciudadela Ciudadela is a city port situated in the west coast of Minorca. In the city centre, tourist can enjoy the Plaza del Born surrounded by narrow streets with medieval style buildings. The historic part of the town is very pleasant and taking a walk through these streets can be a joy, because they are only for pedestrians. You can discover the city by bike or walking and you can enjoy the beautiful white sand beaches and coves. The nightlife is full of possibilities such as; visit the casino, enjoy the many clubs, and bars. Don't forget to visit the city's traditional restaurants and taste the typical dishes of the island.

Me, my sister, my best friend and my aunt all went to Ciudadela and stayed at the Esmeralda Hotel. It was spectacular to but it bluntly. The reception was like a 5 star service in a Hilton Hotel in London but this was a 3 star and gave 5 star hotels a run for there money. The room had its own mini bar and it wasn't that expensive either, quite reasonable. There were 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, kitchen, lounge and balcony with a view to the pool. You also had a TV that had BBC and SKY plus you had movie channels too. And there was late night service if you fancied a night in, the hotel bar would bring your food and drinks to your room, how cool is that. The pool was always busy but it was big enough and we met a few people who were cool, and we all got a nice tan as well. There wasn't much entertainment in the hotel but there were hundreds of pubs along the resort and the clubs were just round the block. I enjoyed the Babylon bar where you could get 2 drinks for the price of 1 and the music was spot on, plus the owner and the staff was English so you felt at home.
