Puerto Santiago Puerto Santiago is the central resort of three separate ones that have spread and essentially merged into each other on Tenerife's west coast, forming the area's largest tourist hub collectively known as Los Gigantes. The resort was once a small fishing village, but typical of the Canary Islands, is now a popular holiday destination with a small selection of bars, restaurants, shops and activities to suit the tourist palette. Puerto Santiago has, however, managed to retain some of its traditional charm and offers visitors the chance to relax and enjoy a seaside break with a local Spanish flavour. There are a huge number of companies offering boat trips to tourists and these vary from a 'booze cruise' on a cruiser offering lunch, drinks and water sports to a trip around the island on a sailing boat or catamaran.

Puerto Santiago, Tenerife, Spain Holiday Review - Beautiful holiday.

Me and my boyfriend went to Puerto Santiago for a peaceful holiday and we got just that. The hotel was called Dragos Del Sur and it was very spacious and well equipped. There was no in house entertainment except a singer on a saturday night but that was half hour long and that was it really. But the fun was just a few yards up from the hotel so we never had to walk miles or have to get a taxi anywhere. The Little Mexico was a popular place to eat, very good value for money too. The beach was nice, quiet but thats how I like my holidays.
