Thailand

Thailand shares borders with Malaysia, Burma, Laos and Cambodia. The country's east coast borders the Gulf of Thailand and the west coast borders the Andaman Sea. Thailand is a country of contrasts with its heavenly beaches and hi-tech cities. There is a lot to explore, popular attractions include Wat Phra Kaew, the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, Thailand's most important and sacred temple, and the numerous ruins of ancient kingdoms strewn across the country. Thai cuisine is known throughout the world for its use of hot, sweet, sour and salty flavours. Thailand a treat for all the senses!

Thailand Holiday Review - Koh Samui

Submitted by: Gillian
Date of travel: 30-June-2010

Just got back from 6 nights in Koh Samui, this certainly wasn't even time we wished we'd stayed for a few days more. We stayed at Chaweng Regent Beach Hotel, can't fault it. The staff were very attentive and helpful. Hotel is right on the beach and what a beautiful beach it is. There are lots of bars, restaurants and shops in Chaweng. Its a great place and we will certainly be going back there.

The people lovely but they know how to make us spend as soon as you arive in the airport they want you to book trips, although you can get the same trips alot cheaper have a look round to find the cheaper deal. Make sure that when you are booking your holiday you pick the right hotel my friend and I didnt both in our tweentys ended up at a very nice hotel full of familys with young children just because it is a spa hotel doesnt mean it is just for adults and 100 screaming children in the morning is the last thing i wanted, Thailand is such a beautiful place make sure you have enough time to take it all in, its not a short break destination.

We go to thailand twice a year we always stay at he hilton hua hin,the staff are the best ,the hotel is great it is in a prime location in the centre of hua hin.We then go onto Bangkok on our way home and stay for a couple of nights in the Millenium Hilton on the River this has a very funky pool on the 4th floor .Iwould definately recommend these hotels to anyone ,go and enjoy like us.
