Olu Deniz, Bodrum Peninsula, Turkey Holiday Review - Amazing

Submitted by: Clare
Date of travel: 17-August-2007

I have been to Olu Deniz for the past two years and hopefully will be travelling there again this year. It is one of the most lovelest destinations I have been to. There are just enough bars in olu deniz but if you really do want to party then get on a dolmus for about 10 minutes and you will arrive in the resort of Hisarnonu. I would definitely recommend Olu Deniz to anyone. I have worked in Bodrum and travelled around Turkey but Olu Deniz is quite simply the best.

Olu Deniz, Bodrum Peninsula, Turkey Holiday Review - Biking Down Real Mountains

Submitted by: Jordan
Date of travel: 18-September-2006

My wife and I had seen Olu Deniz in so many magazines and brochures that we knew that we just had to go there. This resort is absolutely gorgeous. We thought that the pictures had to be too good to be true but we were wrong. They were accurate down to the last leaf. The mountains were green with vegetation and beautiful brown from the land. Pure white beach sand and various shades of blue water was a dream right before our eyes. The beach curved in around the water in such a way that it almost encircled natural blue lagoon. I easily swam from one site to the other waiving at my wife from the other side. She and I rented a canoe and had a race with the couple that traveled with us. The rentals were cheap and we were allowed to rent them for four hours at a time. We went on an organized excursion to Dalyan where we say the Lycian Rock Tombs. My wife convinced me to bathe in the sulphur mud baths because she said that ?it does wonders for the skin.? My question to her was if I have spent my entire life bathing to get the dirt off my skin, why would I intentionally bathe in mud but it turned out to be a very soothing experience. And yes honey, my skin is now softer. I had the most fun mountain biking. I am into those extreme sports and it was rather nice to bike on real and rugged mountains. I feel off once or twice but was able to feel the air on my face as I rode down the mountain.
