Turunc This small resort is placed in the Mediterranean Turkish coast hiding behind the hills in a charming bay close to Marmaris and Icemeler. A wonderful Blue Flag beach shows the way this sea village has faced the tourism development, offering holiday resort facilities and comforts but preserving its environment. A wide range of accommodations; outdoor activities like diving, sailing or trekking; excellent restaurants where taste fresh fish, sea food and other traditional delights; and the hospitality and genuine warmth of the locals.

Turunc, Bodrum Peninsula, Turkey Holiday Review - Ever so Lovely

Still retaining its Turkish authenticity Turunc is a beautiful small resort were you still wake up to the crowing sound of a neighboring cockerel. We took a transfer bus from the airport to our apartments. The ride was lovely because they gave our free bottles of water and journeyed across a mountain road where we caught a magnificent view of our Turunc. Most of our nights were spent in bars eating out. The owners were very nice and welcoming and would carry on regular conversations with guests. The cocktails a great and once the owners saw you becoming a regular, they would give you free drinks. The food everywhere was great but I have never eaten so much rice before. Rice was one of their main staples and the ensured they put it with practically every dish. We tried eating outside many a time because the view and the weather were inviting but every time we attempted to do so we got attempted attacks by wasps (I do not very much like wasps).
Our favorite breakfast place was Musti. There they served a full English breakfast, including coffee or tea for only 9 lira (the cheapest I have ever seen). For on the water time we ventured out on a boat trip that cost ?10 each. It included a BBQ lunch, the rides, and a pass from 10:15 to 18:00. The boat stopped at various harbors for us to swim and gave us a reasonable amount of time for each stop. At Pregnant Church there were plenty of Jellyfish and people got stung so I remained on the boat for that one. At Dolphin bay we saw Dolphins jump in the water. It looked at if they were putting on a little show because it seemed as if they knew we were watching them. The heat got strong at some points but there were plenty of cheap drinks and water available through the boats bar.
We took something called a water taxis to visit other resorts along the coast. It was only ?30 or a little more depending on where you would like to go. The shops in Turunc are plentiful and have amazing inventories. All in All we have a great, easy holiday in Turunc.
