Lake Buena Vista, Florida, USA Holiday Review - The Home of Disney World

Located 15 minutes away from the parks of Walt Disney World, Lake Buena Vista was our holiday destination of choice. We did not want to have a hotel inside of Disney because it would be entirely too expensive so we chose a place that was more pleasant for our wallets. Lake Buena Vista is utterly precious. My husband spent much vacation time at its big golf course and we had picnics on the lake. Not many residents live there so we were surrounded my nice shops that we made for us, the tourists. We went to the movie theatre, visited parts of Orlando and even made our way to Universal Studios. Very different from Disney, the family had wonderful full days at each park. In Disney we had Mickey Mouse and the High School Musical dancers. In Universal we had big Dinosaurs and big shows. In our efforts to see how the ?Floridians? live, we ventured out to the Celebration community. Oh, the houses were lovely in their old time theme. They looked like American houses from the 1930s. Although far from being old, we were told that the community was built less then 15 years ago. We also went to a sort of year round fair called Old Town. The children enjoyed cotton candy and Ferris Wheels, car shows displaying cars from decades ago, and the food.
