Boston Boston, Massachusetts, is located in the New England area of the US. This city was the site for many pivotal historical events in the development of the US, such as the Boston Tea Party, a fact that's evident as you stroll along the Freedom Trail through historic areas of interest. Cobbled streets, grandiose buildings and statues abound in Boston, or 'Bean Town', as it's also known. This quaint and highly pedestrianized city offers visitors character, trendy shops, intellect and modern attractions such as the New England Aquarium on the Harbor. Visit the North End, Quincy Market (with 100 shops and stalls!), Newbury Street, Beacon Hill, Harvard Square and more. The autumn is a popular, if pricey, time to visit due to the draw of stunning foliage turning colours.

Boston, New England, USA Holiday Review - Just as Godd as NY

I fancied a change from the usual holiday destinations in the U.S so I decided to go to Boston this time round and it was a great treat. The city is very historical with lots of great monuments and museums to see which makes sense as it is one of the oldest cities in the country. I was particularly surprised with the really vibrant nightlife in the city; there were so many great clubs and bars playing a wide range of music which was a lot of fun. Boston is a great city to visit and the nightlife is just as good as New York without being as crowded.

I love the Boston area and here's why: there is never a dull moment for anyone. Do you like Museums? Well hop on over to the Museum of Fine Arts, Institute of Contemporary Art, or the Isabella Stuart Gardner Museum. Do you want to sightsee? Travel to the Theatre on Wheels movie tour, the Freedom trail walking tour, Boston Harbor Island and Ferries, Historic Swan Boat tours, of take the Boston Duck tours (I really liked that one). Or do you just want to have fun? Then off to Six Flag New England Adventure Park, Samuel Adams Brewery, 5WITS, and the Boston Common Frog Pond, for you. How do I know about all of this? I went on holiday with 12 people all with different tastes and holiday pleasures. I have seen and done it all and Boston is truly the city of eclectic tastes.
