Cuba The stunning island of Cuba is the largest of the Caribbean islands and is situated between the Caribbean Sea and the North Atlantic Ocean. Cuba is a relatively new destination for tourism and because of that the country still has a lot of its natural beauty still intact. There are wonderful colonial Spanish buildings to explore in the inner cities. There are also an increasing number of resorts along the coast which are increasing in popularity. After almost three decades of isolation, Cuba is being transformed and is now open to international tourism. There has been a rapid growth in private accommodation, which affords the traveller the opportunity to fully experience the Cuban way of life and to explore parts of the country which had previously been off limits. Also growing in number is the number of tourist resorts and hotels and the country is becoming increasingly tourist-friendly. Havana is one of the largest cities in the Caribbean and will amaze visitors with its numerous fortresses and old fashioned cars buzzing around the streets.
