Answers
How is Cheapholidaydeals.co.uk different from other travel websites? Most other travel websites are trying to sell you something. Cheapholidaydeals.co.uk sells nothing. Cheapholidaydeals is not a travel agent – but a website dedicated to showing the best travel deals. As a company Cheapholidaydeals.co.uk does not sell any tickets or holidays and cannot give specific quotes. Cheapholidaydeals.co.uk is a media company publishing a directory of the best travel deals online - the No. 1 guide to travel deals. |

|
Do you list prices for holidays starting from countries outside the UK and Ireland?
Cheapholidaydeals.co.uk displays holiday and short break deals from the
UK and Ireland only. We also have a sister site www.cheapaccommodation.com
which displays global accommodation deals.

Do the agents and operators featured on your site pay to keep their prices
there? Not to post their prices, but they do pay a fixed fee per click when you click through to their site or telephone page. This funds the development of the site, which is growing out of cash-flow.
We also find it works much better: in our first year (1996) we had a mixture of paying and non-paying contributors, and we invariably found that the paying ones took far more trouble to give us a fuller range of prices, and to keep them more up-to-date. With so many advertisers, we are able to carry a fully comprehensive range of cheap prices and so are able to fulfill our mission to be the No.1 guide to travel deals. |

|
Do sites pay you for the links in the 'Useful links and Services' column on your holiday-destination pages? Our links are free - we have researched them for the benefit of the viewers. The idea of this column is that viewers should be able to prepare and research every aspect of their trip. We handpicked sites that will be really useful for our viewers.
Please send us an email if you would like to suggest any others that you feel would be invaluable to fellow travelers and we will add them to our site. |

|
Do the prices quoted on your pages include UK taxes? Yes, they should do. We ask all our advertisers to include UK taxes in their quoted prices.
All the same, the tax situation is always a complicated one because there are not only the taxes levied by the British government, but also those levied by the destination you are visiting. We recommend you always ask the issuing agent or airline to confirm that the taxes are included, and to let you know the total.
For example, on leaving Antigua you will need to pay $50 (East Caribbean) per person which is about £12, and when you leave Barbados you will be subject to an overseas departure tax of $25 (Barbados) which is about £8. |

|
Some of the details are not easy to understand. Many holiday companies use abbreviations to describe aspects of the holidays they are displaying (for instance BB or B&B = Bed & Breakfast, HB = Half Board, FB = Full Board, SC = Self Catering, RO = Room Only, AI = All Inclusive). We do try to discourage agents from including confusing text codes in their deals, but sometimes the code will enable their operator to quickly locate the holiday on their data system. If you see an abbreviation you are not sure about, please contact the holiday seller for more details.

I telephoned an agent but the price quoted on your pages was not available. Occasionally this can happen and we are always sorry to hear when a viewer has experienced this. Holiday prices can change minute by minute as spaces fill up and it may be that you have just missed the last places available at that price. With 1.3 million unique users a month using our site alone, there are a great many people out there hunting for good deals. Our advertisers can refresh their prices anything up to four times a day, so the prices you see there should be representative of what is available. However, the best advice we can give is, if you see a good deal, snap it up!
If you feel that any advertiser is displaying rogue prices on our site just to attract your attention, please let us know and we will quickly investigate and root them out.

|
Where do you get your prices from?
Holiday operators and agents send in their prices. Some send us copies of
their entire database each day. To see when a deal was last updated, look
at the small grey writing underneath each deal and it will tell you the
exact time and date the deal was last refreshed. |

|
Can I rely on the accuracy of the prices you display? We ask all advertisers to ensure that the prices quoted are accurate and available when they are sent. They should also give dates for availability. But prices do change fast, so the system is never going to be 100 per cent perfect as our pages are not live – but refreshed several times a day. |
