"The French resort of Avoriaz sits in the Chablais area of the Haute-Savoie department in the Northern Alps region. Because of its high altitude Avoriaz has a great snow record all season long, and a vast 650km of trails/pistes to explore. Avoriaz offers something for every level, and the modern lift system allows skiers to explore the famous Portes du Soleil circuit. Avoriaz is one of Europe's leading snowboarding destinations and the resort has a snowboard-only section, which includes a pipe, a park-and-ride area and its own lift. Avoriaz is great for a family ski holiday since it's a totally car free village. The après-ski scene in Avoriaz is fairly laid back in the resort and après-ski is limited to a few bars.
