Flaine

The ski resort of Flaine is situated close to Geneva and Mont-Blanc, the area offers a good choice of run for all levels with over 265km of piste. Flaine is the gateway to Le Grand Massif, one of the biggest ski and snowboard areas in France. Snow heights and the quality of its slopes draw tens of thousands to Flaine which is also known as the 'White Desert'. Most visitors to Flaine come on ski holiday package deals and there's a wealth of entertainment and activities available to keep the children entertained. Flaine has a number of ski and snowboard schools perfect for those wanting to improve their skills and learn new tricks. There are over 20 restaurants but only a handful of pubs/bars so Flaine is a relatively quiet resort.
