Valloire

The Valloire ski resort situated in the spectacular Maurienne valley, it consists of a huge 150km ski area. Built in the 17th century the resort has managed to retain much of its authentic, traditional feel. The resort is connected to the purposed built neighbouring resort of Valmeinier to provide a first-rate ski area at the foot of the Galibier Pass. The skiing at Valloire is geared towards the social skier and families - advanced skiers may have to look further a field for a challenge. Valloire represents excellent value for money, and there are numerous restaurants in which you can experience real French cuisine. Bars are friendly and fun, and there's often a live band playing late into the night.
